Belinova-M pairs two complementary anti-allergic mechanisms in one tablet. Bilastine is a second-generation antihistamine that selectively blocks H1 receptors, inhibiting histamine's effects — reducing itching, sneezing, and watery eyes without significant sedation. Montelukast is a leukotriene receptor antagonist that blocks leukotrienes, inflammatory chemicals involved in airway inflammation, mucus production, and narrowing — helping relieve allergic rhinitis symptoms and reduce the risk of allergy-triggered asthma flare-ups.

Together, the two active ingredients provide complementary action: Bilastine addresses immediate histamine-driven symptoms while Montelukast targets the underlying airway inflammation, making Belinova-M suitable for both seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis, as well as chronic urticaria (hives).

For best results, the tablet is usually taken once daily on an empty stomach — at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after meals or fruit juice, since food and juices can reduce Bilastine's absorption. It should be swallowed whole with water at the same time each day, and the full prescribed course should be completed without early discontinuation to prevent symptom recurrence.
