Privacy Policy
eB2BMart connects verified Indian manufacturers, wholesalers, exporters, and buyers on a single B2B marketplace. This Privacy Policy explains what personal and business information we collect from buyers and sellers, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have over it under Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Information we collect
We collect the information you give us directly, information generated as you use the marketplace, and information needed to verify your business.
- Account information: name, designation, company name, business email, mobile number, and password.
- Business & verification information: GSTIN, PAN, business registration type, business address, and bank account details (for sellers who opt into paid settlement features).
- Listing information: product names, prices, minimum order quantities, catalogues, certifications (ISO, BIS, CE, FSSAI, etc.), company logo, and facility photos uploaded by sellers.
- Buyer requirement information: product or service requirement, quantity, delivery location, and budget when you post a buy requirement or send an enquiry.
- Usage information: IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, search terms, and time spent on the site or app.
- Communication records: messages, calls, and WhatsApp conversations between buyers and sellers, and with our support team, which we may record or archive for quality and dispute resolution.
Business & GST information
Because eB2BMart is a B2B marketplace, sellers are required to submit statutory business details — including GSTIN and PAN — to activate the GST-verified badge and to comply with Indian tax and commerce regulations. We verify this information against government databases where possible, and display only your business name and verification status publicly; your PAN and bank details are never shown on your public profile.
Bank account details, where collected for premium seller settlements, are processed through our payment gateway partner and are not stored in plain form on eB2BMart servers. This information is treated as sensitive personal data under Indian law and is collected only with your explicit consent at the time you opt into a paid settlement feature.
How we use your information
- To create and verify your buyer or seller account, including GST and identity verification.
- To operate core marketplace features: product listings, search, buy-requirement posting, and enquiry routing.
- To match buyer requirements to relevant sellers by category, location, and past activity.
- To send transactional updates — enquiry alerts, order status, and account notifications.
- To improve platform performance, prevent fraud, and detect fake listings or spam enquiries.
- To send marketing communications and market insights, which you can opt out of at any time.
RFQs, enquiries & seller matching
When a buyer posts a requirement or sends an enquiry, the requirement details and the buyer's contact information (name, company, phone number or email) are shared with the sellers we match it to, so the seller can respond directly. Sellers should use this information only to respond to that specific requirement and must not use it for unrelated marketing without the buyer's consent. Buyers can request that we stop sharing their enquiry with additional sellers at any time.
WhatsApp, SMS & email communication
With your consent, we send enquiry alerts, OTPs, order updates, and account notifications over WhatsApp, SMS, and email. Standard messaging and data rates from your network provider may apply. You can turn off non-essential (marketing) messages from your account settings or by replying "STOP," while transactional messages tied to your account and active enquiries will continue.
Your consent
By checking the consent box during registration, you agree to the collection, use, and disclosure of your information as described in this Privacy Policy, and separately confirm you are authorised to register the business you are registering. Where the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 requires a distinct, itemised consent — for example, for marketing communications or for processing sensitive information such as bank details — we will ask for that consent separately, and you can withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before your withdrawal.
Location data
We use your approximate location, derived from your IP address, to suggest nearby sourcing cities on category pages. Your IP address is not stored for this purpose.
This product includes GeoLite2 Data created by MaxMind, available from https://www.maxmind.com. City coordinates are derived from the GeoNames geographical database (https://www.geonames.org/), licensed under CC BY 4.0.
Information sharing & disclosure
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share information only in these circumstances:
- Buyer–seller matching: as described above, to connect genuine requirements with relevant sellers.
- Service providers: payment gateways, cloud hosting, SMS/WhatsApp/email delivery partners, and analytics providers who process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.
- Legal & regulatory requirements: government authorities, tax authorities, or law enforcement, where required by applicable law or to protect our legal rights.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy continuing to apply to your information.
Data security
We use industry-standard technical and organizational safeguards — including encryption in transit, access controls, and secure hosting — to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so while we work to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security. We recommend using a strong, unique password and never sharing your OTP or login credentials with anyone, including anyone claiming to be from eB2BMart.
Data retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide our services, resolve disputes, and comply with statutory record-keeping requirements under Indian law (including GST and tax regulations). If you close your account, we may retain limited records in archival systems where required for legal, accounting, or fraud-prevention purposes.
Your rights & choices
As a Data Principal under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and subject to other applicable law, you have the right to:
- Access, review, and correct the personal information in your account.
- Request a copy of your data or ask us to delete it, subject to statutory retention requirements.
- Withdraw consent for marketing communications or other consent-based processing at any time.
- Nominate another individual to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity.
- Object to or restrict certain uses of your data, and lodge a complaint with our Grievance Officer or the Data Protection Board of India.
To exercise any of these rights, write to us using the contact details below; we will respond within the timelines required under applicable Indian data protection law.
Marketing messages & DND
We send promotional WhatsApp, SMS, and email messages only to users who have opted in, using DLT-registered templates as required under TRAI's telecom commercial communication regulations. You can opt out of marketing messages at any time from your account settings, by replying "STOP" to an SMS, or by writing to us — transactional messages tied to your account, verification, or an active enquiry are not affected by this and will continue.
Children's information
eB2BMart is a business-to-business platform intended for use by individuals aged 18 and above acting on behalf of a registered business. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly — contact us if you believe this has occurred.

Seller storefronts, product listings, or articles on eB2BMart may link to third-party websites, including seller-owned websites and social profiles. International data transfer
Our servers and service providers may be located in India or other countries. Where we transfer your information outside India — for example, to a cloud hosting or analytics provider — we take steps to ensure it continues to be protected in line with this policy and applicable law.
