Asphalt Drum Mix Plant

An asphalt plant is a plant used for the manufacture of asphalt, macadam and other forms of coated roadstone, sometimes collectively known as blacktop or asphalt concrete.Drum mixing plant is a continuous type of asphalt plant. It does all its process in a continuous manner. Heating of aggregate is done inside a drum. Inside the same drum, mixing with bitumen and filler material takes place. The ready hot mix asphalt is then loaded into silos or waiting trucks.Asphalt mix plants are used to create hot mix asphalt. It mixes aggregates and bitumen to create the hot mix paving material. The aggregates here can be a single-sized material or it can be a blend of various grades/sizes of materials.Asphalt is also used for roofs, coatings, floor tilings, soundproofing, waterproofing, and other building-construction elements and in a number of industrial products, such as batteries. For certain applications an asphaltic emulsion is prepared, in which fine globules of asphalt are suspended in water.
