Description
Renderoc RGGeneral purpose, non-shrink, cementitiousmicro-concreteUsesRenderoc RG is used for repairs to damaged reinforced concreteelements, particularly where access is restricted andwhere vibration of the placed material is diffi cult or impossible. It is suitable for various structural strengthening measuressuch as encasement build-ups, jacketing, piletop encapsulationresin system, etc.Advantages Gaseous expansion system compensates for shrinkageand settlement in the plastic state Can be pumped or poured into restricted locations Highly fl uid to allow for placement without vibration Pre-packed to overcome site-batched variations Rapid strength gain to facilitate early reinstatement High ultimate strengths and low permeability of cured repair Contains no chloride admixture Ensures piletop integrity as part of a waterproofi ng systemDescriptionRenderoc RG is supplied as a ready to use blend of dry powderswhich requires only the site addition of clean water toproduce a free-fl owing non-shrink repair micro concrete. Thematerial is based on Portland cements, graded aggregatesand fi llers, and additives which impart controlled expansioncharacteristics in the plastic state, while minimising water demand. The low water requirement ensures high early strengthand long-term durability. For larger repairs, the mixed Renderoc RG may be modifi ed bythe addition of 5mm to 12mm clean, graded, saturated surfacedry aggregates at site. For exceptionally large repairs, thelocal Fosroc offi ce shall be consulted.Technical supportFosroc offers a technical support package to specifi ers, endusers and contractors as well as technical on-site assistancein locations all over the country.Design criteriaRenderoc RG can be applied in sections upto 100mm deep. For larger sections, the addition of approved aggregates maybe required. This will depend on the specifi c confi guration ofthe repair location. Fosroc offi ce shall be contacted for furtherinformation.PropertiesThe following results were obtained at a water:Powder ratioof 0.16 @ 300C.Test Typical result at 300C Compressivestrength (N/mm2)(Tested on 70.7mm cubes as per BS 4551-80)1D 3D 7D 28D10 30 40 50Tensile strength 2.0N/mm2 @ 28 daysFlexural strength 5N/mm2 @ 28 days(BS4551 - 80)Young's Modulus 25 kN/mm2Expansion characteristics Unrestrained expansion(ASTM C827 - 1987) 1 to 4%.Pressure to restrainPlastic expansion Approx. 0.004N/mm2.Coeffi cient of thermal 10 - 12 x 10-6 / 0C.expansionThermal conductivity 1.5 W/m0CFire rating Class A1(EN 1504 cl 5.5)Fresh wet density 2100 - 2200 kg/m3(Mixed density @270C)Specifi cation clausesPerformance specifi cationThe fl uid micro-concrete repair material shall be a singlecomponent, cement based, micro-concrete to which only thesite-addition of clean water ( and approved graded coarseaggregates where specifi ed) shall be permitted.
