Vertical Turning Lathe Machine

Vertical turning lathes (VTL) are machines that orient the spindle in the vertical plane in a fixed position. The workpiece then spins, moving up and down to put it in line with the cutting head. These machines are less complex than horizontal lathes. Vertical turning is a machining process for metal components. EMAG was one of the first machine tool manufacturers to use the vertical turning process with suspended spindle.
