Dead Man Handle

A handle on a machine having a small button on it which must be kept pressed down by the hand to continue contact so that if the operator is incapacitated contact is broken and the machine stops. A dead man's switch is a switch that is designed to be activated or deactivated if the human operator becomes incapacitated, such as through death, loss of consciousness, or being bodily removed from control.
