Description
In both soccer and American football, a goal post refers to the upright posts that, along with a crossbar, form the goal. In soccer, the goal posts are two vertical posts connected by a crossbar at the top, with a net behind them. In American football, the goal posts consist of a crossbar and two uprights that form the goal for field goals and extra points.
