Proponents believe it has benefits such as improving your stool and supporting your immune system, but the research is limited.Alkalinity is a measure of the presence of bicarbonate, carbonate or hydroxide constituents. Concentrations less than 100 ppm are desirable for domestic water supplies. The recommended range for drinking water is 30 to 400 ppm.
