80 Ton Hydraulic Press Brake

A hydraulic press brake uses the power of a hydraulic motor to apply force onto the metal, compressing it into the die forming the shape. It is the shape of the die that determines the shape acquired with the metal bending process.A press brake is a machine used for bending sheet metal and metal plate, most commonly sheet metal. It forms predetermined bends by clamping the workpiece between a matching top tool and bottom die.Press brakes are “sized” by tonnage and bed length (overall bending length) and the correct nomenclature for a press brake is: Tonnage X Bed Length (ex. 175 Ton X 10') or similar. The Tonnage dictates the operating capability of the press brake NOT the material being formed.
