ARC 400 Pro IGBT Welding Machine

The acronym IGBT stands for “Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistors”. These are high-speed switching devices used in all Weldclass Inverter welding machines which facilitate the voltage regulation. Some inverter machines use older MOSFET technology / transistors.It converts direct current into high frequency square wave alternating current, with the low frequency direct current coming out rectified by the high frequency transformer at the output. A resistor capacitance connected in parallel at both ends of IGBT is the network for absorption of the base peak voltage.
