The FIA Proximity Card Reader, Weigand, Black - (Model HPR15) is a dependable device that mounts on a wall and controls who enters a building. It sends data up to 80 meters - one central point serves a wide area. It speaks the Wiegand protocol plus uses a cable link - it joins almost any standard security panel without extra hardware. It stores badge numbers for 10,000 users and keeps the last 30,000 entry events in memory, enough for a busy site. It works at one set radio frequency but also reads a card within 10 cm in less than a second. The black unit runs on 9 - 12 volts and keeps working from - 20 °C to +60 °C.
