White Sandstone Temple

Sandstone represents ancient stream, deltaic, or beach deposits. Uses for sandstone include: liners for steel furnaces; as building stone; as an abrasive; for golf-course trap sand; and in making glass, computer chips, fiberglass, TV screens, and paint. They do not get damaged easily and many historical monuments are also made from red sandstone so it will gel well with the background,'' said a senior ASI official.
