Single Phase Self Priming Pump

Self-priming monoblock pumps are regenerative type. These pumps can lift because they include a special "fattened belly" type of volute (casing) that holds a small amount of liquid in it, even when the suction pipe is evacuated. They also include a flapper style check valve built into the pump suction port.
