While the RG series maintains a constant downstream pressure, the MVB series acts as a "safety sentinel" that triggers a hard shutdown if pressures go out of bounds. 1. Madas RG Series Data Sheet (Regulators) The RG series is characterized by a "compensated obturator" which ensures that the outlet pressure remains stable even if the inlet pressure or flow rate fluctuates sharply. Unlike a regulator, it has two states: Fully Open (normal operation) or Tripped/Closed (after a fault). Technical Features Function: OPSO (Over Pressure) or UPSO (Under Pressure). Response Time: < 1 second. Reset Type: Manual only. You cannot reset an MVB until the pressure has returned to normal and the cause is identified. Standard Set Range: 30-450mbar (adjustable). Maximum Pressure (P{max}): 1bar or 6 bar. MVB Model Variants Model Trigger Condition Safety Goal MVB/1 MAX P2 Set Point Protects downstream equipment from overpressure. MVB/1 MIN P2 Set Point Protects against line breaks or upstream gas failure. 3. Comparison & Integration In a standard industrial gas train, these components are installed in a specific sequence to protect the system: Filter (FM): Removes debris. Slam-Shut (MVB): Protects against regulator failure. Regulator (RG): Drops the pressure to the burner's requirement. Solenoid Valve (EVP): For operational on/off control. Installation Guidelines Orientation: Preferred horizontal with the spring tower/lever facing upwards.
