Centering, it is basically known as a temporary structure on which layers of vault and arch laid during the process of construction. After placing the arch once it gets the desired strength and when it becomes able to support itself then the centering can be removed.It is necessary to apply centering oil before laying the layer of arch on centering it requires because when the arch gain its strength and centering is supposed to be removed there should be a greasing agent in between the surface of centering which stays away the base of arch and remove the centering easily without damaging the upper layer.
