A paver (road paver finisher, asphalt finisher, road paving machine) is a piece of construction equipment used to lay asphalt concrete or Portland cement concrete on roads, bridges, parking lots and other such places. Asphalt is loaded into the front of a paver and slowly spread out the back of the machine. A screed works to level the material on the ground as it is spread.
